Garden Design

If you are considering having your garden designed, the first stage will involve visiting your garden and discussing what you are aiming to achieve. Following this we provide a written quote for the design work.

If you are happy with the quote we visit again to discuss in more detail your requirements from the new garden. From here we produce a written Design Brief summarising all of the issues. The Design Brief is a vital part of the design process, helping to ensure that all relevant issues have been discussed and that we have a full understanding of what you are aiming to achieve.

Following this we undertake a full survey of the existing garden and draw up a detailed scale plan. Using the Design Brief and drawing on discussions from the initial consultation, a overall concept and theme for the garden will be developed. Any research necessary for developing the design will also be undertaken at this stage.

This stage of the design process culminates in the production of a hand drawn Outline Plan of the proposed new garden. Together with supporting visuals the Outline Plan enables us to present our ideas for the new garden.

Once you are happy with the design a further quote is then provided for the preparation of any drawings required for the building of the garden and for a Planting Plan. We do not personally undertake any landscaping as this is not our speciality. We can however suggest suitable contractors and we can organise the work on your behalf if you need us to.
